The Picacho Lodge is built from native woods from the area, such as “coigüe” and “cipres”, all in a simple yet attractive architecture and above all environmentally friendly in its operations

The Lodge has all of the comforts visitors need, having four ample single rooms with 2 shared bathrooms and one double suite with a private bathroom - all specially designed for a well-deserved rest after a day of fishing.

The lodge has electricity (220 Volts) supplied by generator which normally runs when needed to provide lighting and is available at any time for special needs. The lodge has an Iridium Satellite Phone for outgoing calls ($US 1 / minute) and the nearest cell phone and internet reception is in La Villa Manihuales about an hour away.

The lodge has a warm friendly living and dining room with a large center fireplace where the day’s experiences may be shared in the company of a good glass of Chilean wine.

Right next to the Lodge is the uniquely Patagonian “Fogón” (barbeque pit) where every week a typical Patagonian “asado” of barbequed whole lamb (cordero al palo) is prepared by Claudio, taking over four hours. Everyone may take part in its slow cooking along with a glass of Chilean wine and experience an important part of our culinary culture.

In order to enjoy a special moment of relaxation within your fishing adventure, the hot-tub located on the lodge terrace is an open invitation to indulge in a nightly relaxing soak under the starry Patagonian skies along with a Chilean “Pisco Souur”– just the way to finish off a fantastic day of fishing.

Modern Jet boats for an adventure befitting this far-off place at the end of the world

The four jet boats we use in the Rio Picacho are of Claudio’s unique design and are equipped with Yamaha jet engines ranging in size from 20 to 40hp. and NRS pontoons. These catarafts are an incredibly stable fishing platform and make it possible to cover a wide expanse of water very quickly and reach every nock and cranny of the valley in the search of waters where wild trout may hide. Most of our waters are fished only by us.

In lakes such as Roosevelt and Copa and in some lagoons such as Las Encondidas, we have our cataraft boats specially equipped for a comfortable and efficient fishing experience which enables you to obtain excellent fishing results.
