2009/2010 Rates

The stay at the lodge is for 6 full days and 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday) is $US 3,500 for one angler. We normally accept half of the full amount at the time of making the reservation or shortly thereafter with the balance due 60 days before date of arrival. You will manage your own flights to Balmaceda but we are always available to advise you. Please try to arrive on one of the earlier flights to Balmaceda since the sooner you get to the airport the sooner we will have you fishing at the lodge or at our spike camp in Manihuales.

What does it include?

The Picacho Lodge weekly lodging covers transportation from and to Balmaceda airport. Accommodation in the lodge or at the spike camps, all meals, open bar (for wine and beer), and a Chilean English fluent fishing guide for every two anglers. The trip from Balmaceda to the lodge takes approximately 2 ½ hours to the lodge.

What is not included?

Customary tips to the guides and service staff for good service (suggested range is 15-20% - cash is preferred), accommodations in Coyhaique if necessary due to flight conditions (if you want us to arrange your reservations, please let us know in advance), fishing gear including disposables (flies, leaders, tippets are available at the lodge), your Chilean fishing license (approx cost is $US 50)

What are the terms and conditions?

Our guests need to be aware that Picacho Lodge is in a remote location approximately 2 hours from Coyhaique (population 50,000 – with good medical services) and only accessible via our cataraft boats. Our guests need to be in good health and in reasonable physical condition during their trip. It is important that any special information related to medical requirements, dietary needs, physical limitations, etc be transmitted to the staff.

Fly fishing in the Patagonia is an adventure sport which inherently has a wide range of risks normally associated with the sport. The client agrees that he or she will hold harmless Picacho Lodge and its staff for these exposures, dangers, risks that you have accepted including loss of personal items, weather related problems, Acts of God, or other situations beyond our control.

Which are the cancellation and refund policy?

In the case that you cancel your fishing program, Picacho Lodge will refund up to 50% of the agreed value for the program, provided cancellation is notified with a minimum of 60 days before the fixed arrival date. If notification is done with shorter notice, no refund will be made, unless the unused time slot can be re-sold to third parties.
