“Shooting the rapids on the pontoon boats was an adrenalin rush”

Cristián,

What a great week! The whole experience is still hard to believe; arriving at Balmaceda Airport, the ride to Picacho Lodge, the food, the fishing, and most of all the people.

The lodge is just the right blend of a guy's camp with a bit of luxury. The guides were very professional but not aloof.

I caught more large fish in a short period of time than ever before, and the guides seemed as excited as I was when I landed a big one.

Shooting the rapids on the pontoon boats was an adrenalin rush. And even with all the activity, I put on a few pounds - the food was so good. It is hard to believe we were 40 minutes from the nearest road and an hour and a half from the nearest store.

But as great as the food, the lodge, the setting, and the fishing it is the people I will most remember. On the water, the guides made it easy to catch lots of big fish. The staff were top notch and very personable. I felt like 'like one of the guys'.

You have done a great job.

Keep it up. And see you next year.
