Chile is a world-class destination for fly fishing. Its reputation has been growing over time thanks to the variety of species, the quality of the fishing, the natural beauty of its landscapes and the hospitality of its people.
With all these advantages to back them, a team made up of Cristian Effa decided to launch the Picacho Lodge project so that fishermen from all over the world can enjoy a fishing destination with unique natural features.
The Lodge is situated on the banks of the Picacho river, the flow of which has characteristics that are ideal for fly fishermen: rapid currents, tranquil waters and pools.
In addition, the lodge is located minutes away from two lakes: the Roosevelt and the Copa. Their pure clear waters are surrounded by endless reed-filled bays full of avid rainbow trout measuring between 13 and 18 inches on average, and brown trout that go from 15 inches on average and can quite commonly reach up to 25 inches long. We are certain that each of our visitors will experience more than one surprise on visiting this paradise set in the Chilean Patagonia, due to the quality of the fishing and the spectacular natural surroundings of the Picacho valley.
This is not your “normal” fishing lodge and a truly unique fishing experience is the result.
